Vick's story

Ludovic’s remarkable journey unfolds as a testament to the transformative power of passion and perseverance in the realm of football. Born in Cameroon and introduced to the sport in Germany at a tender age, Ludovic’s affinity for football became an unwavering source of joy and purpose. As the sole child in his family, the football pitch emerged as his playground and sanctuary.

Relocating to the United States at the age of 11, Ludovic discovered a new home for his football aspirations at the German School Washington DC. Excelling both academically and athletically, he became a Varsity Team starter in 8th grade. Private football clubs, including the prestigious Potomac Cougars and Bethesda Soccer Club, recognized his talent, opening doors to a myriad of football scholarships, particularly from Division 1 schools.

Afterwards, opting to play Division 1 at Alabama A&M University, Ludovic immersed himself in a rich and wholesome football experience. Tragically, the passing of the head coach led him to reassess his path, and he found solace in community college while nurturing his aspiration to turn professional.

Trials in Turkey and the Netherlands followed, but Ludovic’s focus shifted towards coaching. The University of Akron, renowned for its football program, became the platform for Ludovic to immerse himself in coaching, eventually graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Studies – Sport Management.

His journey took a pivotal turn in 2021 when Ludovic moved to Frankfurt, Germany, to pursue his dream of obtaining UEFA coaching licenses. Despite starting with limited connections, he emerged as a coach at SV BLAU – GELB FRANKFURT. His dedication and passion were quickly recognized, leading to coaching success with the U17 team.

In August 2023, Ludovic achieved a significant milestone by obtaining his UEFA B License from the German Football Federation. Returning to the United States, he ventured into coaching at the MLS NEXT Level, aiming to elevate players not only in their football skills but also as individuals.

Fluent in English, German, and French, Ludovic’s hunger for communication at the highest level is driving him to add Spanish to his linguistic repertoire. Plans to obtain the UEFA A License are underway, highlighting his unwavering commitment to competing at the pinnacle of football.

The APEX Football Pro Training Program serves as the realization of Ludovic’s profound love for the beautiful game, where he strives to impart his knowledge and passion, shaping the future of football enthusiasts and athletes alike. His story stands as an inspiration, showcasing that with determination, one can ascend to the zenith of their chosen field, leaving an indelible mark on the world of football.

My first training session with Vick was eye opening. He demanded my absolute best and held me to standards even higher than I held myself. The intensity and passion he exuded was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Less than a year later, I was drafted in the First Round of the Major League Soccer Draft as the number 11th pick to the New England Revolution. After one year of professional soccer under my belt, I was able to visit Vick in my offseason for the full Vick Bell experience. One of the most dedicated to their craft people I have ever met. He is someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes football.

Not one person has put as much effort into me as he did. He believed in me, he saw how hard I wanted to work and was there to support me. He gave me the confidence and coaching necessary to perform at top level. He has undeniable coaching abilities, that is a fact. He is different because he has the heart and knowledge that separates him from the rest. I am forever grateful for him and the time he has invested into me.

I met Vick through my roommate at The University of Akron who knew Vick personally. I remember always seeing my roommate on the phone having what seemed to be serious in depth talks about life and football with someone and one day he said to me that he wanted me to meet his friend who really knew his stuff about football. I was open to meeting him (Vick) of course but obviously was skeptical about his football knowledge because I didn’t know him yet. Well, it only took about 10 minutes of being around him in person to realize that Vick was serious, and he did in fact know his stuff about football. Vick was talking about our college team and his thoughts on our team and some of the players we had and it was spot on. He identified things so accurately by watching our games that you would think he was a coach and was working with our team every day. I personally was struggling with football at the time, I wasn’t playing much and was growing frustrated with it. Vick really helped me through these times. He lit a fire in my belly to keep working hard and improving my game, and to prove my coaches wrong. That year after the season, Vick and I would go and train in the evenings after I had team training in the morning. We worked on everything. I truly believe those training sessions with Vick helped improve my game and got me to a better place mentally. The following season, I became a starter and won individual awards. I also became a pro after the season. Nobody watches more football than he does. The guy is so deeply invested in it and always striving to learn more.

Ever since I was a little girl, I always knew I wanted to play soccer at the Division I level and in the back of my mind I always hoped to play professionally. However, I never had the confidence that I could make it to that level. That was until my first training session with Vick. Vick is the most passionate person I have ever met when it comes to soccer. He began talking about the history of soccer, all of the leagues, certain players, and everything about the game. He makes an active effort to immerse himself in the soccer culture and he taught me and all of the other girls I trained with to do the same. Although, Vick demanded excellence and let me know when I wasn’t playing well enough. He was the most encouraging coach I have ever played for. He instilled confidence in me and made me truly believe in myself, something that I had never truly done before. I always questioned if I was good enough to play at the next level professionally, but Vick told me that I could. Not only did he tell me that I was able to, but he told me what was required of me to get there. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to meet Vick and be able to train with him.
